Yes. especially if it is identifiable, guns, ID, credit cards, ect.

Thanks guys, just had a local deputy refuse to do a lost item report. It is a very identifiable item and pretty valuable, I know with no report there is no hope of insurance paying out.

I refuse when the reporting party has no idea what town , or area, or part of their own home they  lost, or misplaced an item.

Heck, that's only 80% of the people that want a report.  The other 20%, I'll take their report.

I can understand that but the deputy was told the general area where the item was lost. Which was inside of a school at a dance recital.
