did the i3 come in a single core? or it always been dual?

everything is pretty much dual now.. unless it says quad..

trying to buy one off craigslist.. he says its an i3 laptop and works fine. i need the dual core and he doesnt know.. so i guess i should just go for it

No more single core desktop processors. i3 is dual core.

i forgot to say its 2 years old.. like i said i just wasnt sure if 2 years ago it was a single core

I don't believe intel released the i series until early 2010......... All are dual core

There are no single core icore procs, so its for sure dual.
