[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Quick Windows question

My computers VERY slow, and when I hit control-alt-delete it shows a screen full of processes running, most of them .exe. How do I shut these off?

There is no straightforward answer to this question. Some of those .exes are needed by the system.

Did it used to run OK, now it's slow? If so most likely you have a spyware problem.

Here is a large list of programs that can show up in the msconfig startup list. This should give you some idea as to what is running in the background.

Run a virus scan as well.
