I bought a knife from Plaza Cutlery in California and the tracking shows that it departed Cerritos, CA over 48 hours ago. The expected delivery date is Jan 16. I realize that it's a long way between CA and KS but that just seems like a long time before arriving at another hub. Should I be concerned yet? I hope it's not sitting in someones pocket, even though it is insured. Hopefully Plaza Cutlery boxed it discreetly.

relax; the trucks only unload so often. it isn't like they break down and repack the truck every couple hundred miles.

It could have been placed on one of our rail boxes and still be in transit or sitting in a prk lot waiting to be offloaded. You should get an updated scan soon. Also since the item you ordered is so small it was more than likely placed in a bag with other packages which is assigned a bag number thats linked to your 1Z. Alot of times these labels fall off bags and the bag will get processed without the scan which is linked to your package. So even though you don't have current scan status available to you it doesn't mean the package isn't moving through the system.

Thanks Dog, that's encouraging. I was worried because I've just never seen this much time between updates.

BC, Just checking to see if you have got your knife yet? Let me know if you need me to investigate further for ya. Besides being UPS management I'm also a UPS customer so I get pissed when we screw up our customers packages. I hope you already have it though, and always remember that if your package is even one day late you are eligible for a refund on your delivery charges
Take Care, Mike
