Can't possibly be any worse than the first one Gee, that's unfortunate for you. I really liked Prometheus. Click To View Spoiler Then again, I liked Jar Jar Binks, too. There are far worse things out there than a goofy alien. |

Can't possibly be any worse than the first one I liked the first one. I did, too. Sure there were contrived plot catalysts, but I didn't really mind those as I was interested in the mythos Prometheus expounded on. Sci-fi, for me, is like pizza: even when it's not so good, it's still pretty awesome. |

Ridley Scott Says 'Prometheus 2' Is His Next Film
27 August 2015 6:02 AM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news » At this rate, all we need is a formal announcement from 20th Century Fox, because it really does look like "Prometheus 2" is happening very soon. Rumors first surfaced earlier this month when it was reported that production would begin in January, and a couple of weeks later there was chatter that Ridley Scott was insisting to the studio that his movie be made first before Neill Blomkamp's "Alien 5." Now comes word from the man himself that he's returning space following "The Martian." Empire recently got the chance to talk to Scott and Matt Damon about their upcoming "The Martian," and when talked turned to the release date of the film being moved ahead (it was originally scheduled for next spring), an interesting revelation surfaced. “Ridley was done with the movie about two weeks after we shot!” Damond said about the director's cool-under-fire reaction to the change. “I was already on to my next movie!” Scott stated. “I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is 'Prometheus 2.' ” So, if "Prometheus 2" is indeed shooting in January, it seems some legwork has already quietly been done. Again Fox hasn't said anything yet but it seems it's just a formality at this point. So, a return to the world of "Prometheus" in 2017? Looks like that's a safe assumption. - Kevin Jagernauth |

I liked it as well, and the hint as the origin of the Xenomorph was a nice touch. |
