The Martian is about endurance, coupled with brilliance, in personal survival. Project Hail Mary is a classic hero's journey, certainly, with some macguffins, that shows that despite biological extremes, and impossible odds, friendship saves worlds. |

Completely glossing over the monumental task of building communication to a level technical enough to do complex space shit, as well as otherworldly customs and outlooks. |

I like some SciFi movies. I'll probably take the wife, our son and his wife to dinner and a show and see it. Originally Posted By nightstalker: Either Ryan Gosling saves us or Bad Bunny |

| Basically space algae is eating the Sun (and other stars). They can be triggered to move at the speed of light and are used as true instellar space fuel. Two lone astronauts, one human and one...well, not, both figure a way to communicate and to figure out how to save both planets. Really good book |

But, on this one, I think it might be a better experience to have the book under your belt in case some of the details don't get fleshed out in the film. Just my .02. The audio book was done extremely well. |

Never heard of it, but I am curious. Sounds sort of like the movie Sunshine, which was incredible visually. That being said, Sunshine was a about as stupid a fucking movie as you can get. The sun has hypothermia, and it's going to die if we don't do somthing. We have a special bomb that will fix it. More powerful than uranium, it's made from a special metal called stupidium. The thing that most impresses me is the budgets some of these movies have, with such stupid a premise. |
