[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Problems with IMs

I have been trying to send Ops a message, and keep receiving an error report saying his box is full. I have checked with him, and it is empty.

Can you fix this?

Shouldn't be an issue... if it is, give me an update. It may have occurred during some code transition.

I have had that happen alot the last few days. As a matter of fact it is happening now when I have tried to reply to groundsman and blackwidow. Others I can reply to.

Most likely the user's box is full... a lot of people went way over the limits and need to clean their IMs.

Something is screwy. I just had an old, deleted IM pop back up as a new, unread message.

It was one I deleted right about the time the upgrade ws going on.

Remember that your IM total includes your saved and sent folders as well as your inbox.

As to mysterious IMs reappearing, they are deleted (yup nuked!) once you mark them as trash and 3am EST rolls around. We do not store IMs or IM history as we feel messages are of a private nature. If you had a message marked trash and then saved it, it may have come back unread to your inbox, although I'm not sure how.
