What are your thoughts?
What we've learned from the tragedy at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, France where at least 12 people were killed with AK47 rifles? Here's part of it. The tragic loss of life at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, France showed us how hypocritical we can all be.
The moment the news story broke, I witnessed many of the top pro-2nd amendment facebook pages posting statements that resembled “this is proof gun control doesn't work, I thought AK-47s were illegal in France, 30rd mags this, that....” It was the same old shit. Aren't you the same people that are quick to scream and condemn Shannon Watts, Bloomberg, Obama (FBHO) and Biden for doing the same to make their points? Posting about how sickening it is to use the children of Newtown as a magic carpet ride to gun control. Or how about the mother in Idaho with the CCW purse that was shot by her child being used as a pawn by CSGV? Every time a tragedy happens, someone tries to capitalize on it. I'm sure I have in the past, who knows? But It's gross and it lacks compassion. Be better than that. |

I think there is some truth to it, but there is a difference between politicians saying things on CNN vs. some average Joe posting on Facebook. Some of these Pro 2A pages on FB have 50-100K followers. It's a pretty big audience. I think we're all guilty. But whatever. |

I'll wait until there is hundreds of Conservative politicians standing in front of a bunch of children calling for the passage of new laws. Trotting out the kids gives me a total dictator vibe. Yeah, you guys have a really solid point with that one. |

Gun control isn't about guns...... mandatory 2 year enlistment for all Americans from 18-25 we'd cure a lot of gun control freaks There is no need and I have no desire to serve with conscripts. I'd argue that the older generations who participated in conscription are statistically more anti gun then younger generations that have not. Video games and airsoft guns have done more for pro 2nd Amendment attitudes than conscription. |

Stop saying pro-gun control. They are anti-gun. The media started this crap becasue the word anti gives a negative conotation. They did the same thing with the pro life people. Instead of pro life they are anti-abortion. Stop saying "Anti-gun" when one of the main reasons our RKBA is so important is the lack of affirmative duty of protection on the part of the government. It's also a situation that many more people can identify with than "throwing off the chains of tyranny", as self defense is statistically more likely than revolution. Call them anti-self defense, or anti-rights, since their method of "control" means that nobody has them anymore. |
