My wife and I are leaving in the morning for a Princess Cruise to the western Caribbean - The ship/boat has some alternative dining rooms that offer prime meat/seafood/italian food that is not covered in the basic cruise price - for them you have to pay a 'cover charge'.

has anyone been on a Princess Cruise and used this restaurants and what was the 'cover charge'?

thanks

Brian

Cruise Critic message boards. All the info you need is there, as well as reviews from people who just got off the same ship, doing the same itinerary. Specific forums for that cruise line and others, first time cruiser forums, Cruise FAQ forum. It's all there. it's a great resource.

I'm on the new Ruby for 10 days in the southern Carrib later this year. It's my first princess cruise, I'm a Royal Carrib guy. Princess is my parent's favorite and they cruise 6-8 times a year.

Thanks Lorax - you were correct the prices were listed in the review of our ship..

For those interested it was either $20 to $25 extra per person (+$9 more if you wanted lobster) depending on which restaurant you picked.. We may decide to try one of them, depending on how the menus look..  I would guess to say that if you went to a similar restaurant (not on a cruise) it would be about $50/person based on the review..

thanks
