Gun shows not withstanding (first to raise, last to lower), auctions on gunbroker are going without bids and asking prices on forums are inching lower.

I do think that, like gas, we're gonna get used to higher prices, but not the super high prices we're seeing now.

The sooner the better. I don't really "need" anything right now but while watching
the madness on gunbroker, I've realized a strong desire for a Sig M400 in FDE Cerakote

I'm not paying $2k + for one.

The panic after Obama's first election victory didn't subside for like 9 months. This one is worse, we're looking at jacked up prices for at least a year, I'm betting.

But my LGS did have Arsenal AKs for $900 (or so my girlfriend told me when she went on saturday), to bad I'm still paying on a 1903 in layaway there.

Yeah we don't need a crystal ball make this bet, that's why all the $50+ Pmag owners will be feeling pretty butthurt real soon.  And the sad part is that they already had mags, they just got sucked into all the hype of the panic.

Remember, all this started over what people thought might happen, not over the actual threat of it happening.   The Obama EOs were weak, which probably accounts for some of the pullback, but tomorrow (the 22nd) is the first day of business for our Federal legislators.  The short term panic is just getting warmed up.  Wait until Feinstein's bill is introduced and starts to get some serious discussion.

Not so much as prices are holding as supply is running out.

I am watching my auctions. Non-PMAGs seem to be going for $30 and PMAGs are $45.

$1400 DPMS Sporticals weren't going anywhere at the Indy 1500 last weekend.  There were a number of depressed looking private party sellers hanging out by the door at the end of the day.  There were piles of $50 USGI mags and $40 AK mags that were going home with the vendor.

A couple vendors with handguns that had been only modestly marked up if at all were mobbed, looked like plenty of people were happy with those prices.
