January 22, 2006 -- A meek but persistent concert pianist was tossed in jail after repeatedly demanding a refund from Priceline.com.
In a bizarre tale of "extreme customer service," Juilliard-trained Ronnie Segev sued Priceline earlier this month alleging the corporate giant billed him for a $953 plane ticket he never purchased, then had its top lawyer call the cops after he phoned 215 times to ask for his money back.

Segev, who has played Carnegie Hall, was handcuffed and hauled out of his Hell's Kitchen apartment building early one morning in May.

The cops hit him with 215 <counts of harrasmnet>

Well I wonder if he called or spoke with epopke 215 times Go through 4 or 5 transfers a call will add up fast. It cam take easily 10+ calls to get some things resolved.

Sheesh.......but I think that in the end, priceline might just be paying this guy a lot of money.
Oh, and +1 on the hard to contact CC companies. I get lost in their menus.

I never goto the place that "screwed" me, I call my bank and dispute it. Done deal once im off the phone. This guy didnt need to call 215 times. That is harrasment, same thing is bill collectors call you 215 times... Although arrested is a bit much.

i don't think it's harrassment considering they STOLE 900.00+ from his account. i'd have probably done the same.

He should have first called the BBB. Then call priceline once and threaten to sue. Then sue if they don't make restitution.

BBB can't do jack squat.

Dispute with credit card company. Put it on the web. Contact local TV "consumer protection" show.

Priceline would have caved with an apology within a week of it hitting the press.
