There is a local guy selling a Marlin 39A (1954-57) in really good condition.

What do they go for?

He is asking $325.  Is that fair?

He didn't accept the $300 offer, but I still bought it for $325.  Going to pick it up after work tomorrow.  I am only 10mins from him.

I love mine. The barrel is incredibly thick. Pretty front heavy.

A fine gun at a very fair price! The 39A's have always been expensive so there are not as many used ones around as there are examples of less expensive guns. The older Marlins are very well made and very accurate.
