I'm predicting that McCain is going to run as an independant in 2004 against Bush. This freak show will have the same effect on Bush that Nader had on algore X 10.

I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not, get ready for another democrap in office and get ready to say bye-bye to your guns.

Any other predictions?

True, but I think he will do more damage to Bush. There are a lot of "moderate" Republicans out there that would vote for MkKain.

I'm not so sure.  That's what I thought would happen when Perot ran against Bush the Elder.  At first it looked like he would split the "anti-Bush" vote, but he was able to portray himself as enough of a conservative (or moderate) to convince enough Republicans to come over.

I hate that thought, another liberal. But this is why I think We will continue to have a strong willed Republican President in 2004.
I personally belive that there will be an attack by outside forces on US soil or on US soverign land. It will be big enough that the country will have no choice but to come together and keep and leader in office that has a strong national defense program. The downside is it will take the deaths of innocent Americans before the citizens of the US relize that national defense is more important that what the NASDAQ or DOW JONES did last week. I grew up in the Regan Era and still believe that he is a national hero. I also believe that alot of his national security ideas will be reborn with George Bush Jr. Hopefully none of this will happen and we can just vote for the right guy without a huge diaster.

Don't you just love "moderates"? [:D]

During the last campaign I heard the comment made (I can't remember where) that "The only things in the middle of the road are dead possums and yellow streaks."

OK, any theories on who it will be?  I don't think the Chinese are really up to it unless you consider Taiwan or Japan to be "US sovereign land".

Here's a prediction.

The Democrats will take over the House in 2002; Bush will lose in 2004. However, by that point, SCOTUS will have determined that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right. Groups like Violence Policy Center will move towards gun safety advocacy instead of outright bans.

A new international treaty calling for a ban on civilian owned firearms will be negotiated through the UN. The US will refuse to sign, further alienating us from the UN. By that point, with the Left ticked at the WTO and the Right ticked at the UN, we'll become the leader of the anti-globalization movement.

I love this "Moderate" moniker everyone loves so much. 10% of the country is liberal/socialist, 10% of the country is conservative/religious right...leaving 80% moderates. Hmmmm...quick math....where are the untapped votes. So now the ever astute Democrates are now calling themselves free thinking moderates. Like Jeffords?!? Please, some moderate he is. Even Hillary and Uncle Ted are members of the Senate's Moderate Caucus. We all know how moderate they are!

McCain is just Bill Clinton with a heroic war record and a hotty for a wife.  Hmmmm...might be a future for him in this country after all.

3 years is a long, long time hombre.  Remember when everyone though George Bush would cream any Democrat contender in 1992?  Things can change.

there's still a lot of "moderates" (sorry) out there who helped swing the vote this time. I'm betting even if they did vote bush they still buy the hype about the "stolen election" and have hard feelings. "that could've been me if I voted for gore who he stole the election from"

We're toast. The power failures this summer...oh yeah those will be his fault too, along with anymore school-shootings whom the right hand man of the extremists at the NRA did nothing to prevent.

They have the media and have not even begun to flex it's muscle. We're toast.

Riddle me this . . .

Why is it "leftists" are 100 percent commie, "moderates" are 80 percent commie, and anyone below 50 percent commie is a "conservative?"

But "moderate" sounds so . . . so . . . moderate.

Tip o' the hat to Orwell.  It's 1984 in 2001 and Newspeak has claimed the propagandists in the media.

I think George II's defeat will depend a lot on who the Dems choose to run.
Bob Dole was a sacrificial lamb, as were Dukakis and Mondale.
I cannot imagine any big Democrats right now winning, but Clinton and Carter came out of nowhere.
Hee, hee, maybe the Dems could run Gray Davis.

I think Rush Limbaugh said it best -

"A 'moderate' is nothing more than a liberal without the courage to admit it."

Think of the best possible scenario, flip it 180 degrees and that will be the actual outcome. It is game over and there is no stopping it.
