What can you Marines tell me about it?  I'm gonna be taking the indoc on the 15th, and I wanna know if anyone knows what those 4 weeks consist of if (big if) I pass the indoc and get selected for it.  Oh, and wish me luck

I'm not a Recon guy, but from what I remember my buddies saying, it's a little different on each coast and a little different at Force and Battalion.  But, expect more of the same from the indoc: swimming, running, rucking, land nav, small unit tactics, comm prac app.  Good luck and keep you chin up!

Don't know anything about it, but good luck.

Did the indoc in 1993, so my info might be a little dated.

Dig up the BST, and look up the swim qual requirements.  You should be able to do everything for WST at least twice.

Get those boots broken in, and try running in them.  Dirt, or sand if you have it.

It goes without saying that a high PFT score is helpful.

Go back and swim some more.

Good luck!

IIRC, BRC preparation covers a good bit of land nav, along with a shitload of PT and refresher courses in everything necessary. Good luck on the indoc.

If you pass the indoc you will be sent to RMAT, or what every the current name for it is.  RMAT is where they will prep you for BRC/ARS.  Not until they think you are ready at RMAT will they get your quota for school.
