My aunt has been fighting leukemia for years now. She was doing really good, got a stem cell transplant that had been going nicely, but has just recently come down with some sort of virus that she can't fight off. I just got a call that her kidneys and liver are starting to fail at an alarming rate. They don't think she is going to make it to the weekend. It happens...I'm just extremely thankful she has done as well as she has up to this point. Everyone has to go eventually I guess...

Honestly, I'm a little releaved. I've watched her suffer so much over these past few years. The doctors did all they could, she fought as hard as she could..thats all you can do really.. In a few days she will find peace...which she has more then earned... |
I hear yea, it is sad yet at the same time a relief to know a fellow loved one will no longer suffer. |
