As a moderator on four other forums, I would like to add this:

If you start a thread, make the title GERMAINE to the subject.  Vague titles such as "Read this", "WTF?", "Look at this", "Help", are not useful in having your thread read and/or your questions answered.

Use short, descriptive titles.  Examples of good titles, "Posting tutorial", "Chromemoly vs. Chomelined barrels", "What twist for 77-80 gr bullets?".

Rather than criticize someone for not knowing how to use board code, "Hey, dummy, learn board code!", why not instruct him in your reply?  I didn't know until someone showed me how to do live urls.  Most people are pretty smart, and if shown once, will catch on pretty quickly.

More than anything else, be POLITE.  Recently we had the thread about an anti gun female reporter who was invited to post here.  After witnessing that fiasco, I would be amazed if she would even consider posting here.  We missed a GREAT opportunity to change a person's mind, and instead reinforced the idea that we are all knuckle dragging dolts here.

OK, mini tutorial on board code:

When you hit the Reply button, at the bottom of the window will be a row of buttons.  If you want to make a word or phrase italics, click the ITALIC button.

It will give you a bracket [ i ] [ / i ]  I have added spaces to keep this from working for now.  The first bracketed "i" turns the feature on.  The "/ i" turns the feature off.  Now position your cursor between the two bracketed commands, and type your word.  Exp   [ i ] word [ / i ].  It will appear after you submit as word.  The other commands work similarly.

You may wish to combine several commands.  For example, you may wish to have a word bold, italic, blue.  Click the BOLD button, position your cursor between the bracketed commands, click the ITALIC button, position your cursor between bracketed commands, etc, then position your cursor between the bracketed commands and type your word or phrase.

[ b ] [ i ] [ blue ] Congratulations!!!  [  / blue ] [ / i ] [ / b ]   will appear as

Congratulations!!!

(Edited to add)  After you hit the Submit button, proofread what you have posted one last time.  Don't hesitate to EDIT and correct your post.
