I know this is dupe, but I just can't find the answer. I use the WYSIWYG editor and if I do a "copy and paste" for a link, I don't always want it hot. How do you make it cold?

Please help or point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

That link was copied and pasted in the WYSIWG Editor.  Viewing the post in IE the link is cold, viewing it in my version of Firefox it appears to be hot because I have the Linkification Add-On installed.
Editing the post in the WYSIWG caused the URL codes to be added (switching to the Classic Editor shows the code)
Here is a way to convert to a cold link.
highlight the link, click the hyper link button, delete all of the source information, and click ok.  Make it the last thing you do before clicking submit to post the post and if you go back and edit your post you will have to redo the procedure.

Either copy and paste the link as the last thing you do before posting or delete the hyperlink information as the last thing you do before posting.  Both techniques seem to work.

Copy and pasted right before submitting the post. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=3&t=408647

Awesome, Thank you. I didn't want to get flamed for a hot-link.
