does anyone have a good link or site they ref. for frequencies?? LE, FD, DOD, Federal, etc.?? I used to have one in my favorites folder, but have since lost it due to a HD format. Can anyone recommend any good sources, books, cds, websites? thanks |

Don't know. Our radios only have channels that have different op channels or dispatches. When people bring in scanners we tell them to take them to the county communications center and they program in the channels for them. You have to make sure your scanner will work with your area though. Several of the guys I work with have purchased their own personal radios and they have to do the same thing... Take them in to the comm center for programming. I don't think that there's one all inclusive list for radio frequencies that all LE, FF or EMS use. Could be wrong though... radioreference.com link ETA stop by radio shack, get the 2006 police call reference book for your geographic region, comes with a cd with the whole country indexed by license holder. frequency, town, city, state, gov branch, any which way you want. they will also program for you if you want, which I have never done, but if you are not comfortable with trunked systems, may be good. and, the link above is best if you register, then you can download scanner data files for your receiver. |
