a gunshow vendor told me the slots cut in the front were for cutting barbed wire? by putting it up against the wire and firing? to cut the wire?

Put the wire into the slots, twist a lil bit, fire a bullet through wire.   Rather simple and ingenius if you ask me.  Lots of FSs have this feature.

After some hardcore Google-fu, I think its confirmed that it is 15mm x 1.0 thread pitch right hand threads.
