Recovery is going great! We can't thank you guys enough for your thoughts and prayers
Attached File What a day! My daughters surgery went great! Thank you Lord for answering prayers!! The cyst turned out to be almost the size of a basketball and they removed almost a gallon of fluid from it! If she does well tonight she will get to come home tomorrow. All that is left is to get word back from the pathologist. My family thanks you for all the prayers! Huge answer to prayers today! Got results back from CT scan. It is NOT a tumor! It is however a cyst. The DR stated it is an impressive cyst and it will be like removing a 2 liter coke bottle from her abdomen! I could not believe the size of it! The DR. did not expect any issues tomorrow but she will most likely loose an ovary. Please pray that the surgery goes well and no damage has been done to the ovary. My family cannot thank you all enough for you kind words and gestures. I will update the post again after she gets out of surgery tomorrow. We go in at 8:00am est. Thank you all for your prayers and most of all thank you Jesus that we can lay our problems at your feet. My 16 year old daughter Elyse started to gain weight around her abdomen a couple months ago. My daughter has been into gymnastics and ballet all her life. She has very little fat on her. Her normal doctor has been checking her every month but they finally did a ultrasound last week. They found a 4" mass. We met with a surgeon Friday and he ordered more test. We go Tuesday to find out results and Wednesday for surgery. I'm trying to stay calm since everything was based on a ultrasound and most of the information was speculation. It sure is tough I love this girl with all my heart! She is one of us! She wants me to get her a bolt face logo for her car! Attached File Attached File |
