Superbad was hilarious. I'll be giving this a shot.

Looking forward to it. I really like the song in the trailer also ('Paper Planes' by M.I.A.)

Oh boy, another actor who'll make 50 fucking movies playing the same character over and over again! Cool!

See that large, shadowy circle hovering over Hollywood?

That's the bottom of the fucking barrel.

That, and Step Brothers, actually look great.

I don't really go to the movies anymore but I await this one from Netflix.
Link Posted: 8/7/2008 9:29:24 PM EDT
Well, I saw it tonight. Definitely worth the $7.50 to go see it.
Link Posted: 8/8/2008 8:11:14 AM EDT
I saw it and think it's worth a trip to the movies.
Link Posted: 8/8/2008 10:18:47 AM EDT
Friggin hilarious.
Link Posted: 8/8/2008 12:56:44 PM EDT
Does the movie make you want to fire up a blunt?

There are really only a few laugh out loud parts. One of the characters is hilarious (the shotgun guy on the poster who is the drug middleman) but only has a little screen time.

The pot jokes aren't funny and neither is James Franco. Seth Rogan's worst performance. It's 2 stoned guys walking around for an hour. That's funny for about 5 minutes.

It's a good movie, there's story and it holds your interest, but it doesn't compare to Superbad or 40 Year Old Virgin. Just wasn't that funny. It has great situations that just don't deliver.

Rent or watch online.

I stopped seeing comedies a very long time ago, something about them not being funny I think.

I went and saw it last night.

It was well.. crap compared to the groups other offerings. It had its funny moments, for sure, but overall not worth someone else paying for me to go see it with them.

+1 to that, I was pretty dissapointed with the movie to be honest.

OK, but not great. I would put it between the original Harold & Kumar & the second Harold & Kumar.

Pineapple express was to Superbad as Ballad of Ricky Bobby was to Anchorman.

I didn't think it was very funny, but it was a good movie.

That is actually the perfect analogy.

Now I will say Pineapple Express was three times better than Step Brothers, Semi Pro, The Ice skating one, etc..

It does seem that Seth will want to go into action movies from here. I see him doing a Shaun of the Dead type movie.

Saw it the other night. Hilarious. If you liked Super Bad, then you'll like this also.

Bolt action 20g shotgun was my first thought when I saw it. Stevens maybe?

That would make sense with the damage he was doing in the kitchen.

BAR's are automatics....right?

I guessed the Stevens because it looked a lot like a 20g bolt action our family owns.

If you smoke pot you might like it. It had a couple of funny parts but the bigest majorty of the movie was as funny as clown shoes.
Link Posted: 8/15/2008 7:18:24 PM EDT
I laughed my ass off. Funniest movie I have seen in years! Will own the DVD.

Took me about an hour to begin thinking of enjoying it, but once Red came on the scene, it got good fast. Red is the man.

An hour? I was laughing within the first minute and a half when they had the military conducting experiments.

I know, I'm usually pretty easy, and I loved 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. I think Seth Rogan is funny, but I've gotten spoiled by him playing off of Paul Rudd. I saw Pineapple Express with four others, and they were rolling with laughter. Just took me an hour to warm up...
