<rant> so I have this program on my computer... useless. GIMP is dAbOmB! PS just pisses me off to no end. it is NOT intuitive at all I can do things in GIMP that I cant for the life of me figure out in PS. AND YES, I TRIED THE HELP MENU TO NO AVAIL. the more I see other products, the more I'm thinking that PS, while sitting high on their horse, was too freakin high to see the other applications passing them by. </rant> I admit, I'm just a whiney baby. and know damn well that I can dump PS and just have GIMP. ( I started out with PS and resorted to GIMP because work was too cheap to buy anything.. but I guess I used it so much, I forgot how to do anything in PS.) Am I an idiot for keeping this program because it's "high end" and "expensive"? Its a simillar situation in the CAD world.. while I was schooled with AutoCAD, I can get on it and whip out all kinds of stuff, but to try the same feat with SolidEdge or Turbocad...fah'getaboutit! I'm wrong for thinking that simillar products could do or call the same things by the same name and transition between the two would be pain-free. |

yep, I know (about the classes) but I'm an impatient SOB, I want to be able to do it now (or at least be able to learn how via help or the web) I get frustrated easily by inanimate objects. I know this all too well. like I said, I have issues, but they're my issues and they're about me. all I wanted to do was bring an image into another one as a layer (ok, I can do that) but then I wanted to re-size the damn thing in the process.. I couldnt figure it out and the help was NO help what so ever. In GIMP, I'd be in bed dreaming about some hotties or somethin by now. |
If you couldn't figure that out in PS then you probably shouldn't be using it! |

I've been using photoshop for years and just got to the point where I think I've used all the little tools, seen all the weird options, and figured out how to use them all successfully. I can do almost anything that Photoshop allows. It takes a long time, but it is a great tool. I use it all the time. It's almost a neccessity for being online so much. |
