I cannot log onto the photo serve any more. Can someone help me reset it? It is not my current logon password.
Thanks, Bob If you are having problems logging into the photo server. PLEASE READ ALL THE SUGGESTIONS IN THIS THREAD FIRST. If this doesn't solve the problem, then post that you've tried everything else first, and that you still can't log in. |
Go to Edit Profile, then click on the [Sync Passwords] button along the top menu.
Then you should be able to log into the photo server using your board name and password. More info here www.ar15.com/content/help/help.html?id=5 |

npd223, Thanks for the help. However, I am still getting the invalid login information message. Bob |
Hello?!? Is there anyone in here? I need some help with the photo server and logging in!
Bob |
I didn't think Bronze members had access to the Photo Server? Or is this an avatar issue?
When you originally registered, was your login name the same as your username? |
It is an Avatar issue. I used to have no problem with it. I had another name at one time but it has worked since the name change.
Bob |
Have you tried clearing out your cache, etc... and then logging in?
Ok, I tried that and it did not work. Can someone just reset the password and let me know what it is? Bob |
I can't reset passwords, but I'll pass this thread along to Sr. Staff and see what they can do.
Is the email in your profile correct? |
Yes, it is, and thanks for your help. bob |
Unfortunately it is still not working. Check your IM. Bob |
Hello?
Does not work from work either. I have cleared my cache, my cookies, everything. Still no joy. Bob |
It seems that several members are having this problem too. Only one person can look into this, so the word has been passed on.
If you are using firefox, try doing it in internet explorer.
If you use IE, try using firefox. This eliminates all cache/saved password/cookie issues without having to clear them. |
Under "Edit Profile" on this site, pick "Clear Cookies", log out.
Log back in, change your password, log out Log in again, Edit Profile, Clear Cookies, and then "Sync Passwords" Then Try to log into the photoserver This helped another member out, give it a shot! |
I've had this problem for three months!
I've done every thing suggested, emailed everyone anyone suggested that I should email. I've done everything. Everything. Nobody can fix it. Someone even reset my password to 123456 and it didn't work. I synced passwords a few dozen times, I tried different browsers, different computers, different computers in different cities, different computers in different states, different everything and nothing works. I've damn near given up even though I sure as hell shouldn't, I paid for the function, and it won't work! |
According to 1gunrunner it looks like you are just Bob |
This bumps the list to about 10.
What I posted above worked for a different member, but it seems to be increasing. Probably because people only access it for their avatar and nothing else. Have you tried "Old Passwords", like from 5-24 months ago? Any you might have used on the site? Just a thought.... OUTSIDE SHOT: Disable antivirus/web-bug programs and try it. |
Just me, or all of us? |
Well, you and me anyway. Bob |
I just logged into the photo server without a problem--including the "avatar/sig pic" portion. The problem is on your end--not the site's.
just a thought, try completely logging out of ar15.com and all related websites such as jobrelatedstuff.org etc... then log in again, sync passwords, then try logging into the photo server.
Not true Beekeeper. I have been going through this for a long time from multiple computers and multiple IP addresses. I have done everything mentioned in this thread plus several ideas I had on my own. I am also not the only person with this problem. Did you read the entire thread? Bob |
I tried this on at least a half dozen different computers, ones I've never used to access ar15.com (or any backdoor sites) before. I've tried two of the school's computers, my computer while it was at my house at school, my computer while it was at home, my dad's computer, my sister's computer, and my friend's computer at work (in another state)! I've tried three different browsers (Opera, Mozilla/Firefox & IE). This is NOT on my end. I know my password, I know my username, I know how to type both into the boxes and click the "Log In" button. |
Yeah, it's just BS--I can't really change my avatar. I was just lying to cover up a huge site conspiracy. Oh, wait . . . |
Oh look--it's such BS that I can even log in and change it back to my normal avatar.
Ok, right. Ky_bob, others and I are either all retarded and can't follow any directions whatsoever, or... there's something wrong with our accounts.
When someone points out something I haven't already tried, I'll be happy to admit that I'm retarded. Until then, I don't buy it. I should also add the answer to the most common question I've been asked: "Did you go to your profile and sync-passwords?" Yes, at least three dozen times. |
I think GoatBoy had a tacked thread in Team addressing this, but it's not there now. I can't find it via search (and Archive search), so perhaps try posting a thread in Team asking for a link to that thread, or help in general. Team members are usually better/faster than this forum. Good luck.
Edit for spelling. |
GOOD LUCK?!? Hey, thanks for that. Bob
Same here. I have been in IT management for 8 years and server OS management for 5 years before that. I too, did the whole, log on, log off, sync password, change password, about eleventy billion times and it IS NOT WORKING. |

The only thing that I've noticed about all the people having this problem is that they are all Bronze Level members. Maybe something has screwed up with the photo server. Since Bronze members don't normally have access to the server, but do have access to the avatar portion. Maybe something is crossed in the system?
I just tried from another computer... no good... I am on AOL, are the others having these problems on AOL as well?
My account expires on 9/28/2006, I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but maybe the error occurred on a specific day? At this point I'm just guessing at anything. This just blows.
What are you complaining about? I've had this problem for two years. |
Damn! I hope you still like your avatar. Bob |
Yea, but I thought the way the staff was handling it was... odd. |
