I presume innocence. Perverted Justice is out to get folks, show me a complete trancscript of the chats and I beleive. Otherwise those guys are innocent. It would be like MADD doing some BS on drunk driving. |
Right, that's why they drive for hours with condoms and booze to hang out with what they thought was a 12 year old girl.  I've dealt with guys who thought they could do it and get away with it a lot, and they all exhibited the same "entrapment" attitude. Thats not emtrapment. Simply trying to arrange a "meeting" with an undergae child via computer is a felony. The guy is a pedo. They approach the "kid" on the web, not the other way around. Entrapment my ass. And that guy was a cop. |

Haha...better tell our state attorney(s). The shit they (Perverted Justice) pull isn't kosher in many states. In fact, our dept has been warned to stay away from them. |

Think about how unlikely that is. For months they've been doing these stings where literally hundreds of men are caught and admit to the show's host that they knew the girl was underage, and on this particular sting, they conspire to alter the chat logs?

This is what usually shuts people up, because this is the line of explanation they take after "it was my underage little brother / sister / dog that was saying all of those things and arranging to meet." Here goes: Copies of the logs are on the servers of the messaging service in question, and will be used as evidence. PJ would not be able to doctor THOSE. |
PJ works directly with LE agencies. All transcripts are recorded. This is not entrapment. What they do is put up a profile of a kid. The pervs come in and try their stuff.(that alone is illegal) This is not entrapment in any way. You're not getting the law on this one. Communicating with a minor for the purpose of having sex or sexual contact is a felony. I cant believe this is being debated. I really can't. Nothing against ffsparky... but I can't believe what i am hearing. These guys get caught commiting a crime. That is not entrapment. |

The media is deceptive and lies about gun control. The media bends things to fit there agenda on a whole slue of other issues, but on this one we should give them our full trust. I mean this wasn't Dan Rather reporting. And look at MADD, no organization with good intentions gets out of hand. I bet the founder of MADD is still on board with that great group of people. |

Well, you're right, they aren't really entrapment. Nobody is forcing them to do anything. Overall I think it's a cute idea and as long as they only target people I don't like in society then I am all for it. Otherwise I wouldn't be too thrilled with the whole Capt. America we're-on-a-mission-from-God shtick, what they do is not appropriate in a legal sense, but it is mighty entertaining. Which, don't forget, is the point. They wouldn't do it if it were boring. |

Edit: If your dept says stay away fine... how many Pedos has your dept. caught? Drop the donuts and get the kiddie molesters. Dateline does not conduct the operation.They only record it etc. PJ does with the backing of whatever LE agency they are partnered with. If you live in a state that does not like PJ, elect new officials. If you live in a state that doesn't have Jessicas Law, elect new officials. If you live in a state with both of these..... I pray for your kids. PJ does a great job, they have caught a ton of these pervs. It is not a media or NBC operation. This is the only that NBC does that I think is worthwhile. God bless them for doing this, it raises more money for PJ which in turn means they can do more ops. Which means fewer of the pedos on the street. If your state atty doesn't like it... who is he protecting? Your kids? Nope. The pedos?....yep. |

Are you a cop and if so how long? Ever notice how PJ partners with agencies in the Carolinas and similar? Do all pervs live in the South or is it that some southern states write their laws in pencil. How many federal cases have been made based solely on PJ contacts? My understanding is the feds are staying away also. PJ is fighting a noble cause but to them the end justifies the means. Constitution and rules of evidence be damned. |

No not a cop and I wasn't going after you personally with the donut crack. PJ has done shows in MN, GA, all over, not just the south. But my question is still on the table... What is your dept doing to catch them? (besides waiting for a complaining witness)? How many have you gotten off the street? It isnt a shot at you or your dept. It's a shot at the apathy of a system that lets these fuckers walk everywhere. Vermont turns them loose with probation. Again... not a shot at you personally. More of a shot at LE agaencies or the system as a whole. How many kids do we need to lose? |
