Pro tip:

When making a meatloaf that calls for a tablespoon of paprika don't drunkenly assume the reddish looking powder you dump in there is paprika.

A tablespoon of cayenne is just too much.

The pig in the freezer had a pair of his chops get a moderate sprinkling of that hot paprika while on the grill an hour ago.





ETA  Hungarian paprika is best paprika.

Just like granny used!  I usually use that, too, but sometimes like to sneak a little smoked paprika into certain dishes.
