Does it matter which piece goes where?  The cap like piece is the direction of the flow?

Tks

Shouldn't make a difference.

If you have two flat mating sufaces w/ an O ring between them no it does not. However If they are male/female where they mate it does, install w/ male pointing in the direction of flow.

Thank you.

btw, all this talk about o-ring reminds me when austin powers was in the can and Tom Arnold tells him to take it easy or else he'll blow out an o-ring.

I thought this was about a new offshoot of the local pipefitters union.

And make sure it's still has it's O-ring, when I worked at a hardware store people were always rippin' them off, they seem to be an oddball size.

They are generally like regular PVC pipe with some
sections that aren't as good, but have to be installed
anyway due to collective barganning agreements. Then,
sometimes they get uppity, vote to strike, and start
leaking demanding more profit sharing...and some of
that stinky plastic cement.

If you install them wrong or if they even think you're installing them wrong, they will file a grievance and strike.

if its verticle its easier to put together if you put the peice with the indention for the o ring on the bottom.
