My PS3 will update itself software wise, will let me go to the store, or browse the internet and stream netflix all on my wireless network.
However it won't update ANY games, it gets to anywhere between 15-20% then starts timing out. So WTF is going on? Why does it do everything else but update games? I just wanted to get my Black Ops on before I logged on with some folks from work and got my ass kicked............. Put this in Urban commandos but figured this would get more traffic. |

same thing happened to me when I first got COD:BO I'm pretty sure it boiled down to being in the 'burbs. lots of folks clogging the pipes, that is. it worked fine at my house in the country, but did exactly what you describe at my brother's place in the 'burbs. (same intertubes, TW cinci) my best advice is to keep trying. maybe after peak usage times. you might also try deleting all of your related game data and try again. |

Had the same problem with mine. It also would lock the internet up and would have to reboot the modem. After disabling media server everything worked right.
How does your ps3 connect wire or wireless? If wireless what type of router are you using? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
