It's one of the best balancing 5.56 platforms on the market.  It has FAR better balance and ergonomics than the SCAR. At 3/4 of a pound heavier, the FS2000 feels half the weight of the SCAR.

So, would you take an FS2000 or a SCAR over an AR15?

The FS2000's extraction/ejection system would be a worry to me.

I would go FS2000; more compact.  Only complaints I've heard are a poor trigger and lack of a last round bolt hold open.

SCAR is very expensive for the minimal advantages it has over an AR.

FS2000

You can find them for around 1500 used on the EE.  I like mine.

I'm not sure why the SCAR is so awesome.

Other than its lack of availability(in comparison to an AR) and high price tag I'm not sure what to expect from it.

I'd be more tempted to try the FS2000 before I bought a SCAR.

The FS2000 is on my list.....Maybe 5 or so.

I still can't figure out why all these years after Stoner developed the AR, that not many modern firearms would use the same type of system. It works great and much faster than having to pull the charging handle every time you put a fresh mag in.

SCAR even though it priced about 200% to high.
