Okay, I'll say I've never been a fan of online dating. I never tried it and assumed/knew it was full of fat women, moms and crazies.
That said I'm a loser and it is still another option 
Just saying there is a few good ones out there. I got dumped out of an engagement awhile ago and ended up on POF (I'm sure y'all know but that's PlentyOfFish.com). And ended up talking to a woman. I was a bit leary, she was a single mom, but everyone can screw up. Leastways. First time we hung out she came out and said "I know that look, someone screwed you over and you're trying to see someone. I know that, I was there." Now in the long run, no we ain't dating. But she's turned out to be a good person to hang with and talk to. For being a single mom she refuses welfare and is working her ass off to provide for her kid (the dad still chips in without being forced to with child support). Pro-gun, conservative and a good mom and fun to be around. So....I was just gonna say that while it didn't work out "that way", I was impressed to see there's a few decent people on those type of sites if you can weed them out

I tried resetting my password and when I entered my e-mail and it said that e-mail did not exist in their database. I tried creating a new account and I got an e-mail but when I tried logging in it wouldn't take. I tried creating another account and it told me the letters in the captcha were invalid. When I googled "POF IP block" I found some sort of forum where someone else posted a thread and they said "yep, that's what happens when you get IP banned." |

I have no idea. Couldn't log in, couldn't retrieve details. Couldn't create another account. They sent out an e-mail saying they're changing their rules a week before my banning. One of the things they said is that you can't message people 12+ years older than you(not that I ever did that, which I didn't) but honestly I don't care. I tried creating an account again, just for shits and giggles. My brother in law suggested I try logging in under another Wi-Fi so I tried it at Starbucks. No dice. Whatever. Their site, their rules. Nothing else to see here folks. |

Being a dick, and sending dick pics, just isn't me i'm not a dick in person at all. i'm funny and can certainly be inappropriate about it, but i also believe that courtesy is an important part of the glue that holds a society together and i act like it. but on the internet there is a bit of a numbers game - you really have no idea how many messages an attractive girl will get on a site like that so you need to stand out. also, the anonymity of the internet breeds an unreasonable set of standards - all guys think they're badasses and all women think they're god's gift. |

I've dated extensively from that sight. With little exception most gals (women) while not beauty queens, usually have a level head, pretty generous, and generally are okay people. The really hot ones on that site are (plus a few non-hot ones), to me, are there for the attention. A fellow coworker uses it with less success `cause I think he's only on the hunt for the more 'difficult' pursuits.
The flip side is the shit that guys pull. On dates they'll cruise by the ex's house to see 'what that bitch is doing'. Or maybe personal hygiene is lacking. Or looking to move in because the guy is getting evicted. Lot of weird stories. Almost embarrassing for men. So, I think one could consider a lot of these women pretty decent folk. Everybody has some baggage but they are more or less normal. Now, however I have ran across some crazies, like codename '4B' (Big Boob British Blond). A certified manhater. Real nasty character. Hates men, hates this country, hates about everything except her daughter. The caveat? Going to be a marriage counselor.

I don't usually respond but seriously........kinda like painting any "group" with one paintbrush.... I ain't got enough fingers to count the number of local kids whose lvies have turned out better because a guy took in their mom and had the 2nd try "take" and keep going. Yeah, lotta failures but look at how many first-time marriages screw up too. And #1. No shitting: 100 mile "search" and there's only 12 females who have been online in the last month,.....THAT is Montana. #2. I'll agree, that's why I think online sites suck. Only nutcases and trouble cases on the internet. I'm not exactly wanting forever and ever but I ain't on it for screw em and leave em either. And she's decent looking I'll say that As for the not going out thing.....Eh. Not really sidelined by her as much as just...differant. Lotsa weird reasons.

I'm a really nice guy too, I really am... I'm also 32 and married.. In the last 4 weeks we ( yes, the wife and I) have, entertained?, somewhere between 8-12 ( last weekend is still a bit fuzzy and I'm scared to ask!) young ladies of the 19-28 year old range. Some things just plain work when it come to meeting people online. But it mostly a numbers game. Yes, the wife likes girls too... Who the fuck am I to stop her! Plus, she shares... |

My neighbor uses POF quite a bit. His Swedish wife divorced his ass and went back to Sweden, and the neighbor is now scarred for life over it.
Recently at my urging he started dating again, because after all, ten years is a long fucking time to cry in your fucking beer over a piece of ass that left you. Sad thing is, I don't think he knows how to really relate to women anymore. The wimminz will see him for a couple of dates and then they bail. The neighbor has a good job and very few bills, and nice home and a yellow lab. Oh, and he doesn't want any kids, so I think wimminz hear that and get turned off. But, POF is a target-rich environment if you can hold a semi-intelligent conversation for ten minutes (I know that's pushing it for some fellers). The neighbor has dated some real hotties-no kids, good jobs, never married. Like someone else said, online dating is a numbers game. Like any sales job, you won't make mission unless you get out there and make AC, TC, or IC. Work it hard, and even *YOU* can be recruiter / salesman / creepy internet dating dude of the year. |
