| I just downloaded a few PFD files and I want to delete some pages out of them and add information but there is some kind of file security implace. I have the file downloaded to my computer, does anyone know what I need to click or do to this PDF file so I can modify it? |

There is capability to put restrictions on things like printing and such on creation. If it's the same mechanism, there are some programs to strip that password out. I had to hunt for such a utility avbout a year ago when I wanted to print a PDF file that was restricted. As I understand it, the password for this function is embedded and can be stripped out. Note, this does not work for the passwords that are used to protect/encrypt the entire file. Unfortunately, I don't recall the utility name I found but if I run across it again I'll let you know.
Note, these aren't the tools I used, but I"ve seen PDFTK and PDFill tools recommended as free manipulation tools. Don't know if they would work for you or not. ETA: I think this is what I used http://www.anypdftools.com/pdf-password-remover.html Don't know if the trial version will do what you need or not. |
