I only got to watch about half of it but it was a good show. Interesting what the photographers did to keep the film from being taken by the Chinese gubment.

it's interesting, the show goes into detail about the history of internet blockage on the side of China and the companies like Google and Yahoo that went along with it.

"Declassified" on THC did a show on Tianamen about a month ago. Interesting that many of the college students protesting didn't have a clue about what they were protesting for. They had no concept of western freedom, but they knew that wanted it.
Mao instigated a lot of this. He encouraged young people to rebel against authority and against their parents, as a way of gaining public support against his political enemies. For awhile there was no school at all in China and many books were burned. |

It was a decent watch. Seeing the crowds rush the soldiers, and then they get mowed down. An hour later they do it again, and get mowed down again. Then the ambulance tries to pick some of them up, and they get mowed down. It was really pathetic, what unarmed people are reduced to. They had balls to do it, but they really looked like the monkeys on 2001.
