Just replaced the O2 sensor as it was running to lean(p0171). Now I have this code. P1154 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) transition time ratio Bank 2 sensor 1

98 Pontiac Firebird 3800 v6

Any ideas on what to do now?

P0171 is not the O2 sensor being bad.  Did you get a OEM O2 sensor or did you go to vato zone?

If anything, the P0171 is telling you that the O2 sensor is working.

Vacuum leak on bank one.  Replaced O2 sensor with an off brand one that can not keep up with the computer and does not switch properly.

My bet as of now is: Get OEM O2 sensor, fix vacuum leak and your troubles will disappear.

Yeah I know that now. The O'Reillys dude sold me on it being the sensors. Mistake 1. Mistake 2 was buy some unknown make from Taiwan. I still have the one sensor and maybe the other. How does one go about looking for a vacuum leak? I've already checked under the hood and cant see it. Not a lot of room under the vehicle to get a good look. Can you smoke it out?

Unless it is a serioudly bad hose you are not going to see it.  A smoke machine will show it, but do you have one?  I would biu a couple cans of brake clean (clorinated) start the engine and let it get up to temp and come off high idle.  Spray the intake and surrounding area with the brake clean.  The engine will pick up in speed when you get the vacuum leak.

ETA: Just because it does not rev the engine does not mean you do not have a vacuum leak.  It maybe leaking and you can not pick it up by ear.  Many times I have had to us a scan tool in conjunction with the brake clean to find the leak.  If it does not have a leak then you probably have an injector issue.
