So, our secretaries are horrible. I need some photos to get text added, laminated etc.
So, I have to do it myself as it will be next year and 50 emails later if they do it---if then.

So, FedEx office wants 2 bucks a sheet for me to do the lamination. They sell the sheets and you do it.

50 pages=100 bucks plus tax.

I think I should just go buy a laminator and keep it at home.

The FedEx office employees are worthless. They avoid eye contact, walk away and try to avoid having to do anything.

For a lot less than that you can get some Rite in the Rain printer paper, zap your shit off on a color laser, and have durable weatherproof pages. They're not quite as tough as laminated but they're better than you'd expect.

Hell yes, that would be fine.
I'm going to staples to see if they have it.
Thanks

Because no one has ever done it. I once suggested it in the Army as part of a land nav course but the powers that be decided it would be better to just use regular paper, insert it into some cheap sheet protectors and staple said mess to the pole at X location.

Just be SURE to print it on a laser printer. Inkjet will smear if they get wet, and that's if they'll even dry on that stuff.

They make inkjet compatible paper, called weatherjet or something like that.

Clear Plastic sheeting cut to size.

Crayons.

No muss...no fuss.

Depending on what they use for laminating, that price really isn't bad.

U-line 10 mil letter size pouches are $68/100.

Mine wanted $2 to open each digital file for printing for a while. I was ordering $300 worth of copies, couldn't figure out why they wanted to nickle and dime me for something other shops did as a matter of business.

I went into another one that had never screwed up my order, ordered 200 copies of a double sided 14 page document, stapled. The girl at the counter insisted I use the self service machines. Wtf! I took it to another shop.

I don't tolerate their BS. I spent too much time working on newspapers to hear some of the bullshit excuses, I take my stuff to someone who can get it done.

Exactly.
Yeah, I'm not paying your company and therefore YOU to do it myself bitch.

Did you try Staples?

This seems simple.

i r mechanic, and I can do that shit easy-peasy. What kind of paper-pusher can't handle adding text to a photo file, printing it, and laminating it? At the very least, the only thing farmed out would be the lamination, but that's only if the company doesn't have a lamination machine.

Stories like this make me optimistic about employment after the Navy.

So a bear and a rabbit were taking shits in the woods,
when the bear looks over and asks the rabbit...
'Hey, do you have problems with shit sticking to your fur?'
The rabbit says 'No.'
So the bear wipes his ass with the rabbit.
