Been watching scary shows tonight and got me thinking about this after an episode.
What do yall think? Real, shared psychosis, confirmation bias of some sort or a buncha BS, hogwash/pendejadas? Any experiences any of you want to share. |

Doesn't do anything in and of itself, but shows a willingness to invite things in that may not want to leave.

It clearly demonstrates the power of suggestion, the capacity for self delusion and the joy everyone takes in yanking each other's chain.

I used one as a cutting board for dinner one night by accident. The chicken kept coming back to life.

Why do we have this thread every 9 months? It’s like the “cover songs that are better than the originals” thread. Sheesh. Maybe we should petition for an ouija board subforum or something.

Amigo, this is Arfcom, where yoga summons demons, every mutt with a wide head is a savage pitbull terrier, Jesus rode dinosaurs, Sasquatch lurks in back yards, vaccinations contain 5G nanobots and Tractor Supply is all you need to know ‘bout doctorin'. Of course Ouija Boards are real.

They're real. You can go to the store and buy one.
Do they actually do anything? lol, no. Its a piece of fuckin cardboard, man. |

Art Bell refused to go anywhere near one after he had a bad experience. I won't either. Just. In. Case.

I find it hard to believe that a mass produced box contacts the dead.
That being said…for those who are Christian, the instructions are clear…don’t mess around with that stuff. |

Money-saving tip from the Caribbean: If you want to summon demons but can’t afford a professional Ouija board, write the letters, words and numbers on a piece of cardboard and slide around an upturned glass.

View Quote I'm actually curious how they did that so accurately. Is it all burned or is some paint then lacquered over? |

I'm pretty much a non spirits, spooks, bigfoot believer, but had an experience with a Ouija board that I still can't explain.
Basically an answer was given, and I know it wasn't me and the other party was so freaked out they wouldn't touch it any more. |

20 page thread from last year on the subject for reference. It was almost a year ago, so this is NOT a dupe call out.

They're bullshit. Essentially they were an excuse for teen boys to sit in a dark room with teen girls that they were attracted to in the late 50's and early 60's. Think "Modern day" "Tunnel Of Love". The whole point was to scare the girls and make them look to you as "protection".
"Twister" was in the same vein at around the same period. It gave kids an excuse to touch each other in ways they'd have trouble explaining sans Milton Bradley or Hasbro. |

Fake.
That won't stop "grown men" of GD crying about it, though. |

View Quote Don't worry. This thread is not a dupe. That thread was almost a year ago so this doesn't fall under dupe status in my eyes. Anyways, pretty much all threads get recycled one way or another every so often. Just ask about chili...beans or no beans. With that said, I will NEVER mess with one of those. It is NEVER a good idea and only asking to open a door for something you may not be able to close. And not in a good way. |

I did one with some girls I had just met. The board answered a question known only to me and my dead friend. Scared the shit out of me. Maybe my subconscious did it. I don't know. I only know it shocked me

I'd say they work and I would never touch one again.
In college we were messing with one and it knew things only I knew and I tried to push it away from the answer. Really.... We asked the spirit / board where it was and it said "fire". We asked for it to show us a sign, and the light turned off. F-all of that. We all ran out and I'll never be around one again. Maybe they are real, maybe they are fake, I don't know but they aren't for me. |

Non spiritual folks generally think there's nothing to them whereas spiritual folks know better.
It's funny though, the general consensus here is to not invite "the man" into your life but so many don't think the same about demons/evil spirits. |

He said he was in a place ruled by something called Zala. He kept saying zala is law. Then he became aggressive and the tone changed. Don't know if it was real or fake but it really upset all of us. |

The crucial part is to only get one that's been properly calibrated by a reputable astrologer or cosmetologist.
