I say, if it contains books/documents, school/office supplies, computer, tools of your trade, if you are traveling, or in some other situation in which you need to carry a lot of stuff with you, it's all good because backpacks are for stoners*. If you use it casually and unnecessarily outside of work, school, or traveling, then you are a fairy.

I carry a "manbag" everywhere I go - its my camera bag. I'm a photographer - imagine that from my name, huh? I have a small - as far as camera bags go - shoulder bag I carry into stores and everything with me. It holds my D70, 18-70mm, 50mm, and 70-300mm lenses, along with various filters, gadgets, gizmos, doohickeys, thingamabobs, and whatchyamacallits. I carry so much crap around all day, I'm thinking of getting a bigger bag!
