<-----------turned 26 today.

And I get to spend all day at work, then after work, more work sort of, company dinner and meetings on Q4 goals and objectives.

Oh well. At least its a free food day.  I ate cake for breakfast.

Just wait, it gets much, much worse.

To me, months only seem to take about a week and a half any more.

Edited to add: I'm must be getting old, I forgot my original intent.

Happy Dirthday mjohn3006

Happy Dirthday mjohn3006

I think it’s an anticipation thing.  When we are 7 and turning 8, we have a party with friends, it might be at a special thing like a bowling ally or chucky cheese.  There are lots of presents and you are king for the day.  It’s a major event in your life so you look forward to it for months and it takes forever to come.

25 turning 26.  Um.  I still have to go to work.  I get Happy Birthdays from people.  I get taken to lunch by co-workers. I get a few cards and maybe a small gift or two from closer friends.  I get a present from my parents.  I get a present and some extra loving from the girlfriend.

It is a nicer than normal day, but hardly a huge event in life.  So the anticipation is not near as big, and so we don’t count the days, so life still moves on as fast as “normal”.  And each birthday after 21 gets faster and faster because there is less and less anticipation, if not a trend towards dread, and when you start dreading your birthdays they come even faster.

Kidz...

Turned 47 last week.  Spent the day flying to my job in New Jermany (south of New York).
Up at 4am for the flight.  Worked until 8pm, then to the hotel to work some more.

It don't get any better.

For the first third of your live you're youmg, for the last third you're old and in between you're middle aged.  The average person lives to be 78.  78/3 = 26. So welcome to middle age! Gald to have you in the crew.  Physically it's all down hill after 25 so you've seen you're best days.

Welcome to the 23rd Century: A perfect world of total pleasure, With just one catch...

The only thing you can't have in Logan's world is your 30th birthday.

Way to make it a happy day.

I have always thought of it as this:
0-50 is young
50-100 is middle aged
>100 is old
