I have an old Colt handgun box made of wood. It is lined with green velvet, and has dovetailed corner joints. Anyone know how old it is, what type of pistol came it it, etc?

Is it set up inside for a pistol or revolver?

Pretty cool, if you ever want to sell it keep me in mind. I have a couple of old Colt 1911s that would look nice in that.

It had to come with some older "collectable" firearm as they have not used wood in regular boxes for a LONG time.

It's not molded for a specific type of handgun. Just an open box with green velvet lining.
