My roomate just looked out the apartment window during a really bad storm that just passed by and saw this:

I get off work in 20 minutes to survey the damage.  Luckaly he said it does not look like it hit the car next to it.

He already put it back upright.  Says a hole is in my rain cover and some gas was spilled on the road.

I have been on the apartment companies waiting list for a garage for 3 months now.

Doh. At least the rain helped get the gas off the paint.

It's a truism, 'Every Bike Goes Down Sometime.'

This was likely the least painful possible way for the bike to fall.  I doubt you have any damage bad enough to worry about.  And if there is damage, it will be slight enough that you can learn to fix it yourself.  Free Education!

And, now you know why we park bikes in the middle of the space, and why sometimes leaving the cover on is the wrong move.  Still, that must have been a whopper of a storm.

Good Luck!

UPDATE

All is well.  I could not even find one serious mark on the bike. Maybe some light scuffing, but nothing bad at all.
The cover has two big holes in it, but I don't care about a $20 cover.
