There's one for Ron Paul and there's probably a "Felchers for Romney/Romney 2012" thread on the site. GJ should have been ther R nominee. Anyway, http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/
... and FBHO and FWMR. |

Can we rename this the official Herp Derp 2012 thread? ![]() You can do whatever you want, but in your own thread! ETA: If you want to start an "UBG is a dumbass for not voting for Willard thread," then I'm OK with that. This is meant to be a thread for GJ fans. |

The best thing about Gary Johnson's absolute lack of recognition by the general public is that because of that he poses no chance of draining off a valuable amount of votes from other candidates.
A candidate like that really shows what he's about when he lingers with no chance of accomplishing anything. I'd rather that they threw in with the major candidate of their choice for the good of the country. |
|
Quoted: He was the best candidate, imho. Yes, he was. I wonder if he would have been next to have the spotlight shine on him had he stayed in. It seems like just about every candidate got a poll spike and their day in the sun to try to advance their candidacy, no matter how low they were polling. Given that Romney is apparently going to be the GOP nominee, I think I will vote for Johnson. I sure as hell can't vote for a progressive like Romney. |

My county will go red either way. Although that wouldn't stop me from exercising the franchise as I so choose if I lived elsewhere. |

You know what I "hate"? I'll tell you: Card check Amnesty Gutting of our military 2-3 SCOTUS picks Obamacare Another 5 trillion of debt Etc, etc. Only one person is going to stop that from happening and his name is Mitt Romney. No way can we take another 4 years of the Indonesian Dog Eater. So, make peace with it, hold your nose, and pull the lever for Mitt and get Obama the fuck out of office. It should be every red blooded American's number one priority. Vote your heart in the Primary and your head in the General. |

Being in a state that is a blowout for one candidate frees one up to vote for a third party without affecting the electoral outcome. And in any case, the idea that a vote for one candidate is really a vote for another is totally bogus, as popular as the notion seems to be. Voting for the better or best candidate is something I find it difficult to characterize as being wrong. But like you said, California is going to be a blowout for Obama. Every write-in, independent, and 3rd party vote in addition to every GOP vote could go to Romney and Romney would still lose by a huge margin. |

I like the guy but he is relatively unkown to most voters, this is why I believe that he should get out and help someone who has a chance. He does not have a chance this time. |

Frankly, I don't see Romney as any different about any of those things, especially the supreme court picks if you look at his judicial appointment record as governor. |

In the end days of this election cycle, for whatever the reason, if there are, as it looks to be now, two major players I plan to do my level best to discern the actual chances of each of them and though I hope it is Ron Pual I will vote for whomever I believe actually has the most support. It is going to be a long summer. |

Any candidate who runs 3rd party is automatically an agent for Obama in this election. It's all about getting that asshole ejected, then worry about improving on Romney (which wont be hard to do). Obama HAS to go. I don't see why this is so hard to comprehend. |

I haven't studied him in depth, but what I have heard...well, I'd love to vote for him. I really would. But right now, that'd be a vote for 0bama. No can do, the stakes are just too high at this particular time, this particular moment in our nation's history too pivotal. |
