How about what we wished we were drinking, I had Kentucky bourbon ale a few months back and was impressed. I wish we could mail order different beer from around the country No kidding, there are tons of good beer that is a real pain in the ass to get due to either hype or location. |
| I'm currently drinking a Chimay Grande Reserve. I've spent the last several days working on my propane HERMS brewing system. Thread with pics and videos |

Right now I'm drinking a Shock Top Belgian White. I had a Chimay white with dinner. But as for a variety of quality, here you go: http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/DAL2750/310647B8-A1BA-4810-803F-89764D88945B-9251-0000081611C094BC_zps353acab9.jpg You and I are a lot alike. I'm drinking the St. Bernardus as we speak. |

Cool. I want to build a new setup and was thinking of investing in the Tower of Power from NB.

Id rather drink a pint of Chimay blue or St. Bernardus 12 than 8-10 light beers. It has the same effect. |

My wife would hump my brains out right now if I could find her some. She drank a lot of it when in Scotland. Those are my type of beers. I drank a bunch of those in Amsterdam and found many here in Houston. I really like the Chouffe's and the Westmalle is decent. I found a Chimay Grand Reserve in a special bottle, I don't know if it's different than the blue bottle but I can't wait to try it. Also had Goose Island Peres Jacques which is nice but I don't know who owns them?

http://thefullpint.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/ales_pic_tjta.jpg While Jefferson vehemently opposed a strong central federal government, he apparently had nothing against strong ales like this one. Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale is a golden ale with dried fruits and toffee aromas inspired by Jefferson’s original recipe that called for wheat, honey, and rye from his Virginia estate.
ABV 8% I am a big fan of Yard's Brewery's Ales of the Revolution. This one tastes like a good pale ale. If you want a better description, check it on on Beer Advocate. They also have a porter based on Washington's Recipe, one of my favorites........The last one they brew is Ben Franklin's Tavern Spruce...It's okay, not something I would have every once in a while but I like it because it is unique - brewed with spruce tips and twigs and molasses...Of course based on his recipe. I love that beer!!!! But I just got into homebrewing. I have bottled my first 4 brews and am going to start fermenting another next week. |
Favorites right now are Chimay Blue and Left Hand Milk Stout. If I'm at a bar with so-so selection, a draft Black and Tan will do in a pinch.
Love the Delerium Beers, but never had a Rogue that I really enjoyed. Crossing my fingers that a buddy of mine stationed in Germany can score some Westvleteren soon. |
