Obama caves! Flag pin returns to his coat lapel  "You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin," Obama said. "Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism." ~ Barack Obama, October, 2007. BTW... I just wonder if he decided not to wear the flag pin because of something he may have heard in a Rev. Wright sermon.... hmmm... |

Allow me to translate for the politically inept.
I was giving flowery speaches bout not wearing a pin on purpose. The problem is, that over the last few weeks, I've said a couple of really stupid things and put my foot in my mouth so many times that I started to think Dr. Scholls made tongue depressors. As a result, I'm putting the pin back on so the simpleton's in flyover country will think I'm a patriotic American. |
