President Obama on Wednesday dismissed a series of controversies dogging his administration as “phony” in remarks that represented a clear shift in White House tactics.

“With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball,” Obama said in an economic address at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill.

F&F: Did the government provide firearms to known paramilitary druglords, which were later used to kill US citizens? If so, why? And should this policy continue?
Libya: Did the government knowingly withhold resources that could have saved American lives, and if so, for what reason? Did they deliberately lie about the nature of the attack to bolster the election efforts of one of the candidates?
IRS: Did senior officials in Washington knowingly direct agents to target a particular set of organizations for the purpose of improving the election efforts of one of the candidates?

The allegations are serious enough that any caring citizen would want to know the answer to those questions, and make sure that than kind of thing did not happen when the other part (or EITHER PARTY) was in power.
