  For as long as I can remember, OSP cars were always bright white.  A few years ago some rocket scientist decided that they wanted to become "low observable" and switched all the cars to a charcoal grey color.

  I guess it worked too well as the # of people hitting parked/stopped cruisers skyrocketed.  So, as of late, all the new cars ordered will revert back to the white color.


Just goes to prove you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Oh yeah dude...a local municipality near me has these grey cruisers with light grey reflictive lettering that says '[locality] Police]'...and they've got the light bars that go in the inside of the windshield...

They just look like any old grey car from a distance, but from the front you can see the brush bar which is a giveaway.  But that's the standard issue car for these guys.

The first time I saw one I thought...now that's just a dirty trick...
