Paul West said that he'd rather be safe than sorry. So he bought hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting, batten boards, stapleguns, and ladders, to seal up his Winsted home. "I just have all this energy from tension and anxiety and I don't know what to do with it," West said. "Basically, I'm doing what the government says we should do. I may be doing it a little more energetically than some folks, but I'm trying to be pro-active rather than reactive." The materials for the project cost about $250. "My wife's not happy, but she puts up with it," West said. "My kids think it's a good thing to do." What a dumb, clueless bastard. Anyone need more proof that we are deep shit as a nation? Part of my job in the Air Force involved chemical protection equipment and I can tell you people are kidding themselves if they think they can realisticlly protect themselves. What are you going to do,spend 24/7 with a chemical/biological mask and suit on?Trust me,it's a great way to sweat off the pounds. And how are you going to know when an attack happens? Not too many people I know have chemical/biological monitours. If you wait until people start dropping it's much, much too late.In a sense I worry about it but basically my attitude is there's not much I can do about it so I'll continue to go about my everyday life. |

Man, you guys are tough! I bet if there was a chem/bio attack in your area, you'd just stand there with your AR15, breath it in and laugh! I wish I were as cool as you guys. Quoted: I wonder if that would help with the heating bills. Maybe even put off painting the place for a couple years. How long does plastic last in the sun? My wife wants me to paint the house. Maybe I could just wrap some plastice around it and call it done. Vapor barriers MUST be applied on the inside (warm side) of exterior walls. If you put a vapor barrier on the outside of exterior walls it will trap moisture and your house will rot out, fill with mold and collapse. This guy is nutzz. |
