Words do it no justice. Pictures do it no justice. Saying "It's a superpower" comes close, but does not describe it. It's Fucking Crazy. I cannot show you how awesome G3 night vision is on the internet. Videos and pictures will not describe it. I laughed like a schoolgirl. It’s cool, gen 3 is sharp enough the monocular becomes like a green colored peephole you can use to see in the distance without thinking about something being in your face

Thermal for spotting. I3 for target ID Or so I've heard. I'm to poor for either.

I thought, "What's the big deal", then I tried my friend's PVS-14. Saved up and bought a tube and parts kit because I had to go be poor somewhere else. Gen 3 NV is amazing. |

I got to do some coyote hunting with a friends .243 LMT that had a Gen 3 NV tube in front of the scope and holy shit was that the most pew pew spacegun shit I have ever done.

I started to save for a pvs14. probably even unload some Ars and a bolt gun to help my progress.
I've never had a chance to try any but figure if the pictures and videos are anywhere close then its going to be worth the wait saving up. |

I've said it for years.
I try to convey it EVERY time someone gets on here with a gen 1 toy saying, hey, it works! Good enough for me! That's because, online images and video do shit justice to what Gen 3 offers. ESPECIALLY with good objectives. You can barely see, or not see at all and BAM! It is like green daylight. Once you've seen through good NV, you'll never be satisfied with anything less. |

Here is myb.v current pig setup. Pvs15 and tnvc sentinels in wp. Pvs14 green gen3
Rifles are lwrc 6.8 ann 300blk. 6.8 has trijicon reap ir. Pairedwith dbal d2. 300 has flir mq50 with a mawl c1+. Carry a flir pts233 around neck for long range detection. Sittin out on a field as i type  Attached File |

I want NV but don’t know anyone local with it & refuse to order anything online, sight unseen for $3,000 for openers...
Plus I’ve been spending my extra cash on training lately... got a 700 yard class tomorrow... after which I told instructor I need to be able to shoot rope off a mans neck... and then I need the government to go back to hangings so I can supplement my income that way.

I'm so paranoid about a major tech purchase. Knowing my luck I'd buy a gen 3, then a gen 4 would come out a day later.
Hell, I barely use the "technology" I have right now. Most current game system is a Nintendo 64, and I haven't touched it since 7th grade. I carried 5C, AN-PVS 14 and 7D nods, along with some type of flir in the service, was always fun... but as a civi now, uncle Sam isn't footing the bill anymore for my toys. Can't (as a general cheapskate) rationalise buying 'em. My 401K needs more funds than my safe. Glad you guys are having fun though, enjoy! |
