China's economy is based entirely on selling their slave labor goods to the US. In dollars. Russia's economy is based on selling oil and gas. In dollars. Now that they can't get or send dollars, they're screwed. China is a huge importer of oil and gas that they also pay for in dollars (ours). This whole debacle makes no sense for Putin to be doing. Maybe the existing sanctions were becoming too much and he invaded to kick the snot out of somebody and then negotiate an end to the sanctions if Russia pulls out of Ukraine. I'm pretty sure at this point whatever plan he had has evaporated. Hopefully, this will end Russia being considered a world power. |
