Are you oggling my gun!???!!!! Pervert! |
Well, since you asked.Fuck ya! Now post some more pics of her so I can be absolutely without a doubt convinced she is hot |
She says the cap keeps the brass off her face, the glasses keep other nastiness out of her eyes, and the AR keeps the stalkers away... Let me feed her some more rum...... |
Congratulations.
After the recent hurricane unpleasantness, my wife is starting to show some interest in shooting too. R. |
Why yes, yes she *is* a hottie. More pics will enable a more thorough assessment.
Looks like nose-charging handle........................... not like the shooters that are 5" back from where the are supposed to be................
Keep up with the sweet talkin' and mebbe we can convince her to do a BOTD pic......
Gotta go pour her some more rum.... |
She does seem to be a hottie but to make sure we are not in error POST MORE PICS OW! My wife just smacked me in back of the head I'm OK REALLY! |
Hmm...Wonder what one needs to wear to keep it from flying down the t-shirt... FTR: I've also gotten a nasty burn to the face from brass, so she's justified. |

You're a lucky man treat her well. My wife has her own AR and she's pretty darn good with it. You do realise that your ammo costs just doubled don't you?
Does that mean you'll be getting a Bushmaster then? |

Did anyone else look past the hottie wife and notice that the barrel is bench rested on the sandbags? Probably not a good idea.
+1 on the more pics to make an honest assessment of the situation. One from every conceivable angle should do it. |
Notice how the ones you take are when the flying brass is out of the picture, but the ones she takes, it's right after it's ejected and the happy fun flying brass is present |

My girlfriend (of four months - and she's new to firearms) and I were at a gunshop today. I showed her an M1A SOCOM 16, and a standard M1A, explaining what they were and what cartridge they shot. She held the SOCOM. "I like this!" she said, sighting down the barrel. After I put it back she reached over and checked the price tag. I can't say enough good about this woman. I can see, Gravity_Tester, that you've found a good one, a fine one, too.

Hey thats Rio Salado. I used to go there. |
Yeah, I let her know about that while we were at the range... Not good to light things on fire..... |
At some point I'll post a BOTD thread in Team......Watch for it..... |
And for the older ones in the group, a mother? |
Her older half sister is married, as is her older sister (the best looking ones in the bunch IMHO), but her younger half sister is due to report to Great Lakes in March.......She's 19 and damn near 6 foot tall..... |
So.... when can I come meet the younger half sister. Thats just about the right age group. (and I like tall women ) |
Get her a team membership, send her to the woman's forum and we'll have her postin like a pro in no time.
Patty *ETA* She is diffinately a hottie, what woman isn't with a sexy black rifle? |
Saw your post over at azshooting.kom. Be carefull about laying a hot AR barrel directly on the sandbags if the bag has ductape on it. Unless you want to be cleaning melted ductape goo off your barrel like I had too.
Looks like you guys had fun with the nefp's. |
That's nothin'! Right after we got married I got up early one morning to go "look" at motorcycles. She didn't kill me when I brought one home. Nor did she kill me when I went to the bike shop to get brake pads and came home with a brand new bike! Yes, I am a lucky bastard! Unfortunately, my karmic pennance is that I am hung like a light switch..... GT |
I guess it's possible to burn/melt something, but the big concern is barrel harmonics. If you rest the barrel on something it plays hell with your accuracy. The barrel is like a tuning fork, and anything that disrupts that vibration messes up the accuracy. Beautiful wife by the way. It was nice of her to let you tag along to the range. Cheers! |
Yeah, I let her know while we were at the range. My camera has an autodrive mode--so I took a whole bunch of pics in a very short time Problem corrected... Now I have to build her an AR so that she will let me shoot mine! |
The front sight ain't bad either.... |
Good job outta you
If I could only get my wife on the range... She's very intimidated by the recoil. I've been patient - we've been married 11 years. Oh well. Maybe she'll come around in the next 11. |
She has nice skin. Too bad she didn't show more. I know, range distraction.
But you could.... |
I started her out with a 10/22, then an SKS. She also likes our friend's M1A. She also likes the Enfield (.303). A good low recoiling rifle is the Ruger (I know, I know) PC9. It's cheap to feed, very quiet, almost no recoil, and very accurate. Now she likes the AR Just work with her on it. One other thing--take her someplace away from people for the first few times. That fear of being laughed at is not something you need while at the range. Guns are out of the norm for a great many people, and it's easy to fee out of her depth.... |
She was complaining about having the butt of the rifle against her bra strap, and mentioned that she should have come out braless..... You could hear the jaws drop at the bench behind us.... I told her that while it would be more comfortable, it would probably be a safety hazard and range distraction.... |
