At least this one looks like a more difficult safe to crack. There was one here recently that was going on three months to open a Sentry safe.

UPDATE 10/1
I've posted in the armory / safe subforum thread linked above. Keypad is now working after jiggling wires, hopefully I can reach the former tenant today and get them to cough up the combination. |

Aw hell. Give me a butter knife and 3 minutes and I'll have that thing open.

So folks don't have to search through 50 pages:

This thread sucks. If the tenant actually does cough up the combination, what are the chances there is something of value? The safe itself looks valuable, beyond that I doubt it.

This shit again. Wont fuck up a free safe to see inside because reasons?

This thread sucks. If the tenant actually does cough up the combination, what are the chances there is something of value? The safe itself looks valuable, beyond that I doubt it. View Quote As mentioned in the OP, I picked up an almost identical safe a few years ago.https://www.ar15.com/forums/general/Scored-a-SAFE-at-a-garage-sale-today-w-second-safe-inside-Day-6-OPENED-both-EMPTY-/5-1632301/ That safe had to be drilled, but I was able to load it into my car and take it to a locksmith. This stupid thing is bolted to the middle of the floor in one of our buildings, and we need to redo the floor. While I have no qualms about destroying the safe to get it out, I'd rather get it opened and keep it. I left a message for the former tenant last night, not sure if he will give up the combination or not. If no response today, then cutting begins tomorrow. |
