Was playing with my new Nano and went to the reset settings screen, hit reset and now the bitch is all locked up! Screen is on, buttons aren't responding, and I can't power this thing off. WTF? Any ideas on how to fix it guys?

Eventually the battery will run down.  It might reboot then.

Otherwise, take it to an Apple store. (NOT a big box store with an Apple section, an actual store.)

There are several forums dealing with iPods and iPhone products, you may want to try one of them.

1.Move the hold switch to the on position and then move it back to off.

2.Hold down the Menu button on the clickwheel and the center button at the same time. Hold these together for 6-10 seconds. This should restart the iPod nano.

I know that on my 5th Gen, if you hold the center button and the "menu" portion of the click wheel it forces a reboot.  I had to have my little sister show that one to me...

Do it from iTunes.

Before you erase it, do we want to see it?

I don't like that it's missing an on/off switch. I think the Nano is okay, but next time I think I will go with a big clunker.

OP so do you have music from itunes and music from places like limewire or other p2p places on your ipod at the same time? If so that may be your problem.
