Well I just got the goods on the changes at our local Academy... NO MORE Block taught lessons, where people could drop out at the end of a lesson and return at a later date and continue. Complete class from start to finish. Both day and evening classes will be five days a week..... Duty belts will be worn from day one with required uniform Blue guns from day one till you qualify with a duty weapon... This is what happens when the Chief instructor quits and is replaced.. |
Sounds like a typical academy in NJ. |
| Completing the class from start to finish is a good thing. In my academy you can miss a day, but you have to repeat the entire block in the next academy. I understand why they want to keep it that way, however if you have court you should be excused unless it is on a test day. |
